Washington — The United States Mint is inviting producers, publishers, dealers and advertisers of numismatic products to submit their requests for an invitation to the XXIII Mint Directors Conference (MDC) scheduled for March 18, through March 23, 2004, in San Francisco, California. Interested parties should fax or email a request for an invitation to (202) 756–6585 or 2004mdc@usmint.treas.gov by December 20, 2002. Applications will not be accepted after this date. We will send a confirmation of receipt of your fax or email. Applications should include, name, address, telephone number, fax number and e–mail address. Invitations will be sent out on a first come, first serve basis. Response to this announcement does not guarantee participation in the event due to limited space. The schedule of the conference and the fees for participation have not yet been announced; however, the fees for the XXII MDC, 2002, held in Osaka, Japan, were approximately $1,000 U.S. dollars.
MDC, the official association of international mints, holds a biennial conference for Mint directors and numismatic industry specialists to exchange information and examine critical issues facing the industry.
